WHAT YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT STYLING CANDELABRAS
Most of the time when people envision candelabras they suddenly see one come to life singing and dancing to “Be Our Guest!” But other than the magical Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast, candelabras can be enchanting. Even without the animation, song, dance and flying dinner plates, candelabras can bring an elegant, romantic, vintage or even modern element to your décor.
You can hardly go wrong with a tall and slender centerpiece to make a statement but still allow uninterrupted conversation across the dinner table. Don’t be fooled, these stunning centerpieces can be a great asset to most any event and theme with the right accents and color combination. Read more for our three favorite ways to style candelabras!
Art Deco
This is one popular trend that, perhaps, we can thank The Great Gatsby for. Utilizing candelabras for this type of event can be fun and go in a variety of directions. Our favorite, however, is a gold candelabra with black taper candles around the sides and white roses for the top, a wonderful accent to tie together the centerpiece with the surrounding décor. The black and gold are perfect compliments and hone in the art deco aspect of the design.
Romantic/Vintage
As candelabras possess a gothic or Victorian look already, incorporating candelabras is perfect for these types of events. We love sticking to the old school look with a black candelabra and hurricane glass shaped votive holders. Also, don’t hesitate to include floral around the base, whether in vases or encompassing the piece altogether. Simply romantic and vintage!
Modern
Bright, vibrant and radiant modern décor also has a big place in the event world, especially since Ultra-Violet was named 2018’s Pantone Color of the Year! We’ve taken a liking to this modern trend and yes, there is a gleaming candelabra to match! This time, we’re opting for a silver candelabra with round jeweled votive holders for a fantastic, smooth and glistening design.
