REAL EVENTS: HOW WE TRANSFORMED AN INDUSTRIAL WAREHOUSE INTO A HIGH-END GLOWING MASTERPIECE

Venues come in all shapes, sizes, color and style. Sometimes it’s a great idea to incorporate already existing color and style of the space into your event’s design to create a complimentary and cohesive look. But when the venue is a “blank canvas” and anything is possible, imagination and ideas can run wild all day long! And that’s one of the reasons why our designers had a lot of fun with this event. From the unique and modern furniture to fun and creative lighting design, this is truly an event that will go down in MCR Design Group history.

Furniture

An essential element for any event are tables and chairs. But with a large space such as this, we were also able to incorporate various modern lounge furniture, giving the entire room quite a unique look. From coffee tables and ottomans to couches and circular benches, cushy furniture gave the industrial warehouse a more comfortable feel and added a bit of warmth.

The basics, including cocktail tables, dining tables and chairs also had trendy elements. Incorporating both high bar stools and chairs, hour-glass cocktail tables and acrylic dining tables added multiple levels and dimension to an otherwise empty and flat room.

Lighting

Before Ultra-Violet was named the 2018 Pantone Color of the Year, our lighting designers created an ultra-modern, lively and vibrant lighting color palette using our favorite hues of violet, blue and pink! A mix of up lighting, built-in lighting effects and pattern projections completely transformed the neutral tones and brick accents found in this room. If we could choose just one event design to prove to you that lighting is truly everything, this would be it!

Décor

Last but certainly not least were the finishing touches and details that really set this design apart from all others. Translucent glass votives, glass vases with floral and floating candles of various heights perfectly complimented the glass table tops and acrylic chivari chairs and bar stools. The use of living light from candles at differing levels created stunning illusions and mirrored the levels of the various furniture to create a unified yet eclectic overall look to the room.

Details right down to the napkin fold and tall pointed leaves from the floral arrangement, seamlessly continued to create clean sharp lines. Silver chargers and white floral stood out just enough to serve their purpose of creating and inviting and gorgeous atmosphere at the table but blended with compliments of every single element in the room.
